About Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation

   The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing free services to individuals and families touched by breast cancer in our local communities of Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts and eastern Connecticut.

Our Story

The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation was established in 2004, in loving memory of Gloria Gemma, a wife and mother of nine who lost her courageous fight in 2002. This devout woman instilled in her children strong family values and the importance of helping others in need.

What started out as a one-stop shop website full of resources and information, grew into an organization that provides over twenty holistic programs designed to heal mind, 

body and spirit.

In 2008, the Foundation opened its Resource and Wellness Center, and Gloria’s eldest daughter, Maria Gemma-Corcelli was named the executive director. Through the tireless efforts of Maria and her dedicated staff, the Foundation has developed and implemented numerous free, holistic programs and services for people living with cancer.

We understand the emotions and confusion that occur when you or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer. It can be one of the most stressful and psychologically draining experiences of a person's life. Gloria Gemma is here to provide access to the support and resources you need. Whether you are newly diagnosed, a survivor or you’ve lost a loved one to cancer, our staff and volunteers are here to guide you through your cancer journey with compassion and understanding. We offer a family atmosphere where hugs are plentiful and emotions are never judged, and we are committed to helping you restore your mind, body, and spirit through free holistic programs, 

education, and support.

Friends of Tammy Roy are excited to announce the launch of a special fundraiser to dedicate a room at the new Gloria Gemma Center for Cancer Survivorship & WellBeing in her honor. Tammy was an unwavering advocate for her fellow cancer sisters, inspiring many with her dedication to their transformation beyond cancer. Throughout her journey, she touched the lives of countless individuals, always offering her friendship, love, and support. Her positivity and energy became a beacon of hope for those around her, reminding us all that healing goes beyond the physical, embracing the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of recovery.

The room dedicated to Tammy will focus on individual therapies that nurture the body, mind, and spirit. It will serve as a sanctuary where cancer survivors can experience holistic healing, whether through physical treatments, emotional support, or spiritual guidance. Just as Tammy filled every room she entered with vibrant energy, this space will continue to do the same for survivors and their families, helping them find peace, strength, and rejuvenation. The fundraising efforts aim to ensure that Tammy's spirit lives on, offering a healing space that reflects her enduring legacy and her unwavering commitment to supporting others on their cancer journeys.

We invite friends, family, and survivors who knew Tammy to honor her memory by making a donation to help offset the construction of this special space dedicated to her. Your contribution will directly support the creation of a room that embodies 

Tammy’s spirit—one that continues her legacy of love, positivity,

 and unwavering support for others in their journey beyond cancer 

through healing for the body, mind, and spirit.
